Overview of AMBA &BGA Accreditation

The Association of MBAs (AMBA), founded in 1967, is a leading global authority in postgraduate management education. AMBA is the only organization that brings together MBA students and graduates, accredited business schools, and employers on a single platform, offering corporate partners worldwide both online and in-person networking opportunities, professional advice, access to knowledge resources, and MBA recruitment information. Students and alumni from AMBA-accredited institutions are able to access a wide range of services, including international events, career development support, and professional training.

AMBA specializes in accrediting postgraduate management programs such as MBA and DBA degrees. With its stringent criteria and rigorous review procedures, only the most outstanding postgraduate programs are awarded AMBA accreditation. Achieving AMBA accreditation signifies that a business school’ s postgraduate education meets internationally recognized standards of excellence. To date, only just over 290 business schools worldwide have earned AMBA accreditation for their postgraduate management programs.

The Business Graduates Association (BGA), whose name derives from AMBA’ s original designation in 1967, is a related brand launched on the basis of AMBA accreditation. Unlike AMBA, which focuses on program-specific evaluation, BGA provides a more comprehensive institutional accreditation system covering overall school development, including undergraduate and postgraduate education, organizational management, faculty development, sustainability, and social impact.
